Literary scout Louise Allen-Jones has announced a new relationship between her agency and HarperCollins Germany, set to begin on 1st August.
The move follows a "very happy" 25-year relationship with Ullstein Buchverlage publishing house.
The agency will scout for adult fiction and non-fiction for HC Germany, based in Hamburg. The German branch of HarperCollins publishes over 250 titles annually, under the imprints HarperCollins, Mira, Dragonfly, Schneiderbuch and HarperAudio. Publisher and managing director Jürgen Welte joined the company in July 2019 from Rowohlt, where he was also managing director.
Current and upcoming authors in translation include Joyce Carol Oates, Leila Mottley, Don Winslow, Karin Slaughter, Daniel Silva, Adele Parks, Abigail Dean, Sarah Morgan, Ruth Jones, Chelsea Manning, Esther Perel, Brittany Kaiser, Matt Richtel, Simon Garfield, Margot Lee Shetterly and Andrew Ridgeley.
HC Germany joins Louise Allen-Jones Associates' 10 existing clients across the globe.
