Sophie Schrey joins Laurence King Publishing

Laurence King Publishing (LKP) has appointed Sophie Schrey, formerly of Michael O’Mara Books, to the newly created role of head of children’s. 

Schrey will join LKP on 29th July from Buster Books and LOM ART, imprints of Michael O’Mara Books, where she is managing editor. Prior to this, Schrey was commissioning editor at Ivy Kids. In her new role she will help LKP build its non-fiction list for children.

Schrey added: “I have long admired the creativity and innovation of LKP and so I’m thrilled to be joining as head of children’s. It’s an interesting time for children’s publishing and I look forward to working closely with Laurence and the talented in-house teams to build upon and expand their flourishing list in new and exciting directions.”
