Leena Normington has been appointed social media producer for Vintage.
Normington joins Vintage from Telegraph Books and, before this, was Pan Macmillan's creative producer, where she produced and presented the company’s BookBreak YouTube channel. She left Pan Macmillan in June last year.
A Bookseller Rising Star in 2016, she has her own YouTube channel (JustKissMyFrog) and is a presenter on fortnightly podcast "Banging Book Club".
Starting in her new role today (3rd July) as part of the Vintage Brand team, Normington will be producing creative content for the Vintage community, which has an online audience of around 500,000 across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, newsletter, website and the Vintage podcast. All content will be underpinned by data analytics and an SEO strategy. The Vintage Brand team is said to have "ambitious targets for data capture and growing direct reader relationships".
Ruth Waldram, Vintage Brand Director said: "Vintage is a leading literary brand with nearly half a million engaged followers, an extensive live events programme and valuable brand partnerships with companies such as Aesop, Moleskine, Burberry, the Royal Academy and the V&A. Leena’s experience at the Daily Telegraph and Pan Macmillan, as well as her own experience as a pioneer in the online book blogging community, have shown her creative flair and will enhance our ability to engage directly with our readers. It’s exciting to have someone of her talent and spark join the Vintage team."
Normington said: "It’s an honour to join the Vintage team, which is full to the brim with talents beyond my own – and to work on a list I have been admiring keenly from afar for many years."
