The Frankfurt-based publishing technology and distribution company Bookwire has appointed Christian Lindemann c.o.o. and m.d., starting 1st October 2023.
In his capacity as c.o.o. Lindemann will focus on managing the operational aspects of the business and further optimising processes and services that will enable Bookwire to “scale globally while strengthening its core business in the German-speaking region”.
Lindemann previously spent 16 years at Wolters Kluwer Deutschland and an additional six years at McKinse.
The company’s two founders and chief executives, Jens Klingelhöfer and John Ruhrmann, will increasingly concentrate on customers and the continued development of the existing business, as well as exploring opportunities in new regions, Bookwire said.
Klingelhöfer said: “Over the past 14 years, Bookwire has evolved from a startup into a leading, globally positioned technology and service company. Our management team is growing accordingly. We are delighted to have secured Christian Lindemann, an industry-experienced top manager, for Bookwire.
“Lindemann’s profound understanding of technology and platform business in the publishing industry will help us align our company and solutions even better for our customers."
Lindemann said: “I am excited about the new challenge at Bookwire as part of this dynamic and dedicated team. With its innovative software, Bookwire can make a significant contribution to the digital transformation of the publishing industry – and I want to drive that forward. Working together with Jens Klingelhöfer and John Ruhrmann, we will further accelerate Bookwire’s tremendous growth."
Ruhrmann commented: “The Bookwire leadership team is now a trio. This way, we can more decisively enhance the effectiveness of our services and the value of our company for our customers. That’s what matters to us. I look forward to the shared responsibilities.”
