Little A, an imprint of Amazon Publishing, will publish Matt Greene's memoir, Jew(ish): A Plea.
World English language rights were acquired from Gordon Wise at Curtis Brown. The memoir is scheduled to be published on 1st December 2020.
Greene is a journalist and author of Ostrich (Weidenfeld & Nicolson, 2015). His memoir Jew(ish) will explore what it means to be Jewish in 2020.
Caught between tradition and moderninity, his Jewish family and his non-Jewish son, Greene explores questions of identity, religion and family.
Greene commented: "I've been circling in on this book, without necessarily knowing it, for a long time and the subject just kept getting more urgent. I'm excited to have this chance to contribute to a conversation about identity, both chosen and assigned, that I think is central to our current political landscape and to how we organise our worlds."
Editor Victoria Pepe added: "Jew(ish) is vital, timely—and funny! It’s a book that adds a huge amount to the national conversation around identity. It’s been a joy to work with Matt, and I can’t wait for Little A to bring this book to readers at the end of this year."
