Little, Brown is publishing a book from the anonymous senior official who wrote a New York Times op ed claiming to be part of “the resistance" inside Donald Trump's White House.
A Warning, will be released on 19th November, following on from the op ed, “I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration”, which was published in September 2018.
The publisher explained: "Picking up from where those first words of warning left off, this explosive book offers a shocking, first-hand account of President Trump and his record.”
Little, Brown said the author did not take an advance for the book and any royalties will be given to non-profit organisations focusing on government accountability and standing up for the truth in repressive regimes.
The controversial original article claimed many of the US President’s senior officials were “working diligently from within to frustrate parts of his agenda and his worst inclinations”. The anonymous author said Trump’s leadership style was “impetuous, adversarial, petty and ineffective”.
After the article’s publication, a furious Trump suggested the official was guilty of “treason”, tweeting: “If the GUTLESS anonymous person does indeed exist, the Times must, for National Security purposes, turn him/her over to government at once.”
Twelve, an imprint of Grand Central, is publishing in the USA. Little Brown will be publishing the book in the UK and its international markets.
