Laurence King Publishing (LKP) has appointed Zara Larcombe as commissioning editor.
Larcombe joins LKP on 6th June from Ilex Press (Octopus Publishing Group), bringing over 11 years of editorial experience in the areas of illustrated and activity books. She began her career at Rotovision (Quarto Group) where she predominantly catered for the co-edition market, focusing on graphic design and design subjects. She joined Ilex in 2011, where she commissioned books and series, including Draw Faces in 15 Minutes by Jake Spicer, Museum of Me by Charlotte Farmer, and The 1000 Dot-to-Dot Books by Thomas Pavitte.
Larcombe will report to LKP’s editorial director Jo Lightfoot, and will work across LKP’s trade list with an emphasis on trend-led illustrated titles.
Lightfoot said: “Zara’s inventiveness and expertise will be invaluable in helping us expand the adult creativity section of our list, as well as taking LKP in new and exciting directions.”
