Magic Cat publishing has hired Anette Dal Jensen in a newly created role as US sales and business development director after seven years spent at Macmillan Children’s Books.
At Magic Cat, an independent children’s book publisher based in east London, Dal Jensen will oversee sales in North America, where the company’s growing partnership with Abrams has expanded significantly in the last year.
Dal Jensen will also be responsible for developing new business and direct-to-retailer opportunities for Magic Cat as the company continues to look for growth opportunities in the UK and the US.
Dal Jensen is a key part of Magic Cat’s English language sales and marketing strategy and will join the company alongside a new UK sales manager ahead of this year’s Frankfurt Book Fair.
Dal Jensen said: "Magic Cat is the most exciting place in UK publishing today and I am excited to start working with the team on expanding North American publishing. I look forward to working with our transatlantic friends on creating amazing books."
