Rachel Mann has joined the Creative Artists Agency (CAA) as a publishing agent in its books department.
Mann will focus on fiction across various markets, including children’s, young adult and adult, encompassing poetry, non-fiction and text for illustration. She joins from the Jo Unwin Literary Agency, where she most recently served as a literary agent. Her clients include Eliza Clark, Caleb Femi, Jack Meggitt-Phillips and Jade LB.
Prior to her time at Jo Unwin, Mann worked as an editor at PRH Children’s, Simon & Schuster and the Roald Dahl Story Company. A release from CAA said: “Throughout her career, [Mann] has shown a consistent interest in fostering creative and innovative forms of expression, emphasising a combination of inventive creativity and commercial potential. Her focus remains on young adult fiction, driven by unique voices, engaging high-concept middle-grade stories and a penchant for dark humour.”
Mann’s hiring comes as part of CAA’s continued expansion of its London publishing group, with Harriet Poland, Karolina Sutton, John Ash, and Sarah Mitchell all joining over the past year.
