Pan Macmillan imprint Mantle has scooped a new adult novel from Joanna Nadin on three generations of Essex women.
Sam Humphreys, associate publisher, acquired UK & Commonwealth rights from Judith Murray at Green & Heaton. The book, provisionally titled Pramtown, will be published in 2020.
Nadin previously wrote The Queen of Bloody Everything (Mantle) and before that was best known for the Rachel Riley series of children’s books.
She said: “I’m hugely happy to be working with Sam again, and on another 1980s-set novel so close to my childhood home, and heart. I hope readers take to these three women as they’ve taken to Dido and Edie.”
Humphreys said: "The Queen of Bloody Everything was such a joy to publish, from start to finish, and has found fans everywhere. I’m delighted to be continuing working with Joanna, and can’t wait to introduce Pramtown to the world."
