Daunt Books Publishing has appointeed Marigold Atkey as editor, effective from 29th April.
Atkey has previously worked at Fourth Estate and William Collins, where she is currently senior project editor. She has also worked as a freelance, and before that was an editor at Bloomsbury where she acquired the The Book of Trespass by Nick Hayes and Patch Work by Claire Wilcox.
Atkey has worked with authors including Reni Eddo-Lodge, Jon McGregor and Melissa Harrison, and began her career in publishing at David Higham Associates.
She will report to publisher Sophie Missing, who said: "Marigold has excellent, wide-ranging taste and has edited a stellar array of books. I’m so impressed by her passion, and the exceptional care and thoughtfulness she brings to everything she works on. I couldn’t be more delighted to be welcoming her to Daunt, and look forward to all she will contribute to the list as it continues to evolve."
