Mark McGinlay leaves Orion to set up MR Public Relations

Mark McGinlay is leaving Orion after almost four years to set up a new PR company.

McGinlay is currently senior publicity manager at Orion, where he worked mainly on its cookery and lifestyle list, helping to make bestsellers for Davina McCall, Fearne Cotton and The Hairy Bikers among others.  

He will leave on 4th May to set up McGinlay Rushmer Public Relations. Specialised in south London businesses, food and drink, pubs and restaurants, books and social media, it launches on 8th May.

As well as this new venture, he will be starting a third local community newspaper with his wife Kate in late May called The Lewisham Ledger. It joins newspapers The Peckham Peculiar and The Dulwich Diverter.

McGinlay previously worked at CICO Books, Phaidon and Quadrille.
