McKee's Character goes to Methuen
Methuen Publishing has acquired UK and Commonwealth rights, excluding Canada, to Robert McKee's Character.
McKee is a screenwriting lecturer and has spent the last 30 years educating and mentoring screenwriters, novelists, playwrights, poets, documentary makers, producers and directors internationally.
McKee's first book Story (Methuen, 1999) was billed as a "practical course" on the craft of storytelling. The 2016 follow up, Dialogue (Methuen), followed suit as a guide on "how to craft effective speeches for characters". Character is a companion volume to these and will be published in spring 2021.
McKee is also the author of Storynomics: Story-Driven Marketing in the Post-Advertising World (Methuen Publishing, 2018). McKee also wrote and hosted 12 episodes of BBC’s "Filmworks" series and had his own Channel 4 series called "Reel Secrets".
