Penguin imprint Michael Joseph will publish Jamie Oliver’s new vegetarian cookbook this autumn.
Called Veg, the book will be published on 22nd August for £26, offering more than 100 new recipes.
The synopsis states: “From simple suppers and family favourites to weekend dishes for sharing with friends, this book is packed full of phenomenal food. Whether it's embracing a meat-free day or two each week, living a vegetarian lifestyle, or just wanting to try some brilliant new flavour combinations, Jamie uses his expertise and experience to bring together the very best veg-based cooking around.”
Louise Moore, managing director at Michael Joseph, said: “Jamie has created a ground breaking and hugely satisfying book which committed meat lovers and long term vegetarians will love in equal measure. He is constantly creative and inventive in his cooking and this is no exception.”
Oliver added: “For me Veg is all about celebrating really good, tasty food that just happens to be meat-free. This book is a collection of recipes that I often cook at home. Some are quick mid-week dinners, others are more of a weekend luxury but all of them are easy and delicious.”
The chef has sold 14.55 million books for just under £180m since records began in 1998. Last year’s Jamie Cooks Italy sold 165,062 copies. Its predecessor, 5 Ingredients, became his third million-copy-hit last year, with 1.079 million copies sold to date.
