Michael Joseph is publishing The Wonderful World of Ladybird Books for Grown-ups, a celebration of its hit Ladybird childhood spoofs.
The book is once again authored by Jason Hazeley and Joel Morris and will span a range of topics in a single book, retailing at a higher price point to the previous series, publishing as an £18.99 hardback on 15th November 2018 instead of £7.99.
To date there are 32 books in the Ladybird Books for Grown-Ups series, including titles like The Ladybird Book of The Hangover, How it Works: The Husband, and People at Work: The Rock Star. Since the series began in October 2015, over 4.5 million copies have been sold and the titles have been popular stocking fillers at Christmas.
The new book is described as "an enormous collection of helpful hints, on everything from worryingly high cholesterol to worryingly high mortgages - from teenagers you can't understand to prizewinning novels you can't understand - all presented simply and colourfully, in a way that even the most jaded, exhausted, baffled grown-up can enjoy".
Authors Hazeley and Morris write for Charlie Brooker's BAFTA award-winning Wipe shows, and co-wrote "Cunk on Shakespeare", "Cunk on Christmas" and "Cunk on Britain". They have also written for "Miranda", "Mitchell & Webb" and "Armstrong & Miller" and helped to write the Paddington movies. Other books they've been involved with include the "offbeat travel guides" Bollocks to Alton Towers and Far From The Sodding Crowd.
