Michael Reynolds, formerly editor in chief of Europa Editions US, has been promoted to executive publisher of Europa US and UK. He joins managing director and publisher Eva Ferri in overseeing the publishing programme for both companies.
Both Europa Editions US and Europa Editions UK will keep working closely with sister company Edizioni E/O in Rome, Italy.
Meanwhile, Millie Guille has joined the publisher, from Bloomsbury, as junior editor, and will commission titles for Europa Editions UK, predominantly from English language authors. She worked under Margaret Bartley at Bloomsbury and has also held positions at Faber and Oxford University Press. In her new role, she will be working with Merlin Holland on After Oscar—his forthcoming book about his grandfather, Oscar Wilde.
Patricia Chido has also joined the publisher as sales and marketing executive, having previously worked at Scribe UK for three years, and at The Royal Society of Literature as a creative access intern. She brings with her a strong background in literary marketing and a passion for promoting diverse authors.
Reynolds, Guille and Chido join Ferri and Daniela Petracco, who is communications director and head of Europa’s London office.
Petracco said: "2025 is going to be a very big year at Europa, with the 10th anniversary of Elena Ferrante’s Neapolitan Novels and several new books coming by some of our most successful authors, as well as incredibly exciting debuts. I’m very happy to be part of such an enthusiastic, dedicated and creative team bringing fresh energy and ideas to Europa Editions UK."
