Midas PR has today announced that it has renewed its partnership with Women’s Prize Trust on a pro-bono basis for the next two years. Midas will work alongside Christian Lewis, PR director for the Women’s Prize Trust, and newly appointed communications and events manager Helena Towers on key elements of the Trust’s communications strategy.
Midas will support the Women’s Prize Trust on their charitable communications strategy, while Midas’ new US office will work on the US media outreach for the prize. The team will also provide additional resource for the annual one-day book festival, Women’s Prize LIVE, and the charity’s summer party, where the winning authors of the 2025 Women’s Prize for Fiction and Women’s Prize for Non-Fiction will be announced
Jason Bartholomew, c.e.o. of Midas, said: "I am thrilled to become the PR partner with the Women’s Prize for the next two years. I can’t think of a more respected brand in our industry. The Women’s Prize, year in and year out, does important vital work in championing female voices. We are delighted to be working alongside Claire Shanahan, Christian Lewis and Helena Towers to offer our help wherever it is needed."
Shanahan, executive director of the Women’s Prize Trust, said: "It’s been a great pleasure working with the Midas team over the last year—their expertise and experience, along with their passion and professionalism has been invaluable in bolstering our tiny team. Faced with an increasingly challenging funding climate, pro-bono support and individual giving has become even more important to us as a charity and we are extremely grateful for the support Midas, and other partners, continue to offer us. If you would like to help the Women’s Prize Trust achieve our goal of genuine equity for women in the world of books and beyond, please do come forward—we would love you to be involved!"
