MJ signs second book from Mrs Hinch

Michael Joseph will publish a second book from Instagram star Mrs Hinch later this year. 

Publisher Fenella Bates acquired world rights from Gleam’s head of publishing, Abigail Bergstrom. Mrs Hinch: The Journal by Sophie Hinchliffe will be published in hardback on 17th October 2019. 

Mrs Hinch: The Activity Journal is about giving readers "the gift of a time out: time to plan, to dream, to relax, have a giggle and de-stress. As well as plenty of pages for Hinch lists and journaling there will also be light-hearted activities for readers to have fun and relax with," according to MJ. 

Essex-based cleaning guru Hinchliffe, who is known to her 2.6million followers as "Mrs Hinch", said: "I’m so happy to be working with Michael Joseph on such a special project which is really close to my heart. My Hinchers mean the absolute world to me! They’re the reason my account is successful and the reason Hinch Yourself Happy did so well. I’m so grateful to them for all of their support! I can’t quite believe it. I’ve worked closely with the incredible team at Penguin to bring my vision to life. Giving ourselves the opportunity to take some time out is so important, and so underrated. I really hope The Activity Journal will inspire its readers to do just that. Since Mrs Hinch announced the deal on Instagram last night, the book has gone to number one on Amazon. Hinchcliffe's first book Hinch Yourself Happy published by Michael Joseph in April 2019, following an 11-way auction, sold 221,512 copies in its first ten days of sales and 160,302 in its first part week. Overall, Hinch Yourself Happy has sold 362,931 copies for £2.47m, according to Nielsen. Hinch Yourself Happy also spent 11 consecutive weeks at number one on the Sunday Times Best Seller Charts. To date it is the fastest selling hardback non-fiction title of all time for Penguin Random House and is the second fastest-selling non-fiction title of all time after Pinch of Nom (Bluebird).
