E-commerce book specialist Monwell has launched a new online bookshop in partnership with the Times and Sunday Times.
The Times Bookshop will reflect the latest book review and serialisation content from the Times, the Sunday Times and the TLS. It will also shine a light on the Sunday Times bestseller list, Times Books and HarperCollins publications.
Monwell said the bookshop will be "deeply integrated into editorial and marketing channels", and will be used as a retention tool as part of the Times+ loyalty scheme.
Monwell was shortlisted for Book Retailer of the Year at this year’s British Book Awards and specialises in selling books and branded merchandise.
A small team of seven, they manage bookshops for the Guardian, the Times and Sunday Times, the Daily Mail and the Daily Express.
Sara Montgomery, founder of Monwell Ltd, said: “The books coverage from the Times and Sunday Times is world class and their audience is deeply invested in the brand, so it lends itself perfectly to the type of service we offer.
"The site will closely reflect the editorial content from the Times and Sunday Times, and we’ll be working with the Times+ team to help bring print book offers to their members."
Louise Agran, marketing director at the Times and Sunday Times, said: “It has been an ambition for a while now to set up an online bookshop and we believe we have found the perfect partners in Monwell.”
Robbie Millen, literary editor of The Times, said: “It’ll be a curated online browsing experience – the Times Bookshop will focus on those titles and authors the literary teams of the Times and Sunday Times think you’ll most enjoy.”
