More than two million copies of Mrs Hinch titles have been sold across all formats, according to publisher Penguin Michael Joseph.
The publisher said it was "thrilled" to hit the milestone. Mrs Hinch [Sophie Hinchliffe] became an overnight sensation in 2018 by sharing her cleaning tips on Instagram. In April 2019 PMJ first published Hinch Yourself Happy.
Michael Joseph said Hinchliffe has sold more than 1.5 million physical copies through the Total Consumer Market across all five of her books, with a further 391,904 through non-trade sales and 28,128 through export markets. Hinch Yourself Happy and This Is Me have also sold more than 56,808 audiobooks and 26,847 e-books combined, the publisher said.
Nielsen BookScan shows she has sold 1.2 million print copies in the UK, but a large chunk of her sales would have occured during lockdown periods when Nielsen was not reporting sales figures.
Hinchliffe said: "I am so incredibly overwhelmed by the fact that so many people have read my books. I can’t believe it! To have just one best selling book is a dream come true, but to now have five and to have sold so many copies, completely blows my mind. To my amazing followers, I will forever be grateful to you all for your support. You are the reason I’ve been able to fulfil these amazing opportunities and to say thank you will never seem enough."
Fenella Bates, publisher, added: "I am thrilled that the one and only Mrs Hinch has now sold over two million books! Sophie works so hard to create books that delight her fans, and two million sold books later, it is incredible to see the results of all the love and care that goes into creating them. A heartfelt thank you to Sophie and her dream team at Gleam — what an epic achievement!"
