Authors such as Michael Mosley, Clare Bailey and Chetna Makan attended Octopus Publishing Group’s summer party this week.
Others to descend on Toklas in London for the 29th June celebration of Octopus’ food and drink publishing – spanning its Aster, Conran, Hamlyn, Kyle, Mitchell Beazley, and Short Books imprints – included Sabrina Ghayour, Chetna Makan, Edd Kimber and Pip Payne, as well as agents, booksellers and members of the press.
In her speech, m.d. Anna Bond acknowledged how valuable it was to be able to celebrate in person and thanked all the teams involved in creating, producing, championing and selling their award-winning food and drink books.
She also outlined her ambition for the heart of the Octopus business with further growth predicted across its food and drink publishing and a drive to build the lists even further across the imprints.
Key food and drink titles publishing later this year across Octopus include Sabrina Ghayour’s Persiana Everyday, Rahul Mandal’s Showstopping Cakes, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Richard Jones’ Love. Food. Family, and Joel Harrison and Neil Ridley’s 60-Second Cocktails.
