HarperCollins’ Anna Mrowiec will join Hodder & Stoughton’s Coronet imprint as editorial director for non-fiction.
Taking up her role on 11th December, Mrowiec will report to publisher Hannah Black and will buy commercial non-fiction for the list. She is replacing Harriet Poland at Coronet who recently left to become an agent at the Creative Artists Agency.
Mrowiec is currently senior commissioning editor at HarperNonFiction, acquiring for Mudlark and the Specialist list. She has also held roles at Ebury and Michael Joseph and has worked across a range of narrative non-fiction, memoir, humour and issue-led titles, publishing a number of bestsellers.
Black says: “I am thrilled to welcome Anna to the team. She has the kind of creativity, instinct and entrepreneurial flair so intrinsic to Coronet’s identity and success. Her commercial nous and eye for new and diverse talent marks her out as a significant player and she will be key in the continued growth and development of Coronet as a destination imprint.”
