Instagram sensation Mrs Hinch has been forced to cancel her remaining book tour dates in Glasgow, London and Southampton for her bestselling cleaning guide-slash-memoir Hinch Yourself Happy (Michael Joseph).
The 29-year-old cleaning expert, who claimed the UK Official Top 50 number one at the beginning of April, is currently six months pregnant. The six-date, sold-out tour began on 6th April and was due to run until 4th May with three remaining dates in Glasgow, London and Southampton.
Sophie Hinchcliffe told her 2.4million Instagram followers on Wednesday (24th April) that she was in hospital “until further notice” but said that her baby is safe.
The Essex-based cleaning guru wrote on her Instagram stories: "My Hinchers, I am absolutely devastated to say that the very difficult decision has been made to cancel my remaining book tour dates in Glasgow, London and Southampton.
"Penguin, through W H Smith and Waterstones, will be in contact via email with you all my Hinchers to organise your full refunds. I really hope you all understand I need to look after my mini Hinch and put his health first but I'll be back with you all hinching as soon as I can."
A few hours earlier she told followers that her unborn baby's heart is beating normally.
Hinch Yourself Happy (Michael Joseph) swept straight into the UK Official Top 50 number one earlier this month, shifting 160,302 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen BookScan’s Total Consumer Market. It recently fell to the third spot, pipped by E L James' The Mister (Arrow) and Kay Featherstone and Kate Allinson's record-breaking cookbook Pinch of Nom (Bluebird).
The book has sold 254,800 copies sold for £1.72m after two and a half weeks on sale, according to Nielsen BookScan, after being bought by the PRH imprint late last year following an 11-way auction.
