Rebecca Mundy, formerly publicity director, has been appointed deputy communications director at Hodder & Stoughton. Mundy will report to the newly appointed communications director, Francesca Russell, when she joins from Bonnier in July.
Mundy started her publishing career at the Henley Literary Festival before joining Hodder in 2013. She has delivered campaigns for many of Hodder & Stoughton’s biggest commercial titles, working in the teams behind Sir Alex Ferguson’s autobiography, as well as Steven Bartlett’s Happy Sexy Millionaire.
Oliver Malcolm, managing director, said: "Becca brings incredible drive, dynamism and commercial know how to our PR team. With Vicky Palmer recently joining to lead the Creative and Marketing Team, and with Francesca Russell arriving as communications director, I am thrilled to make an internal promotion, for someone so universally respected across the business."
Mundy added: "I am incredibly excited to take up this new role in such an exciting time of growth and ambition at Hodder. The energy is palpable and I’m looking forward to playing an even greater strategic role in the future success of the business. Most importantly though, I’m looking forward to continuing to grow the careers of our authors, and the incredibly talented publicity team who I love working with at Hodder."
