HarperCollins UK has promoted Natalie Robertson to the permanent role of director of people, with oversight of the HCUK HR function.
Robertson, who was appointed people director in August 2024, will report into HarperCollins UK CEO Charlie Redmayne and HarperCollins senior vice president and chief people officer Zandra Magariño.
She first joined HarperCollins in 2010 as senior HR advisor and was promoted to HR manager in 2012, relocating to London in 2015 to take on the role of people business partner before being promoted to senior business partner in 2018. She left the business to become head of HR at Glasgow airport before rejoining HarperCollins in the Supply Chain team in 2021, later becoming acting people director.
Redmayne said: "I am delighted that Natalie has agreed to take on this vital role on a permanent basis. She is a brilliant people director and has shown exceptional leadership over the last five months. I look forward to working with her as she continues to drive our people strategy and to support our teams across the business."
Robertson, who will take up her new role with immediate effect and continue to work from both the London and Glasgow offices, added: "Having worked at HarperCollins for more than a decade, I am thrilled to be stepping into the role of director of people. I look forward to leading the people agenda and continuing to build a workplace where everyone is able to thrive and contribute their best."
