National Centre for Writing (NCW) has announced a new home for its year-round programme of creative writing courses, workshops, mentoring and resources: NCW Academy.
Holly Ainley, head of programmes and creative engagement, said the move aims to “bring together our year-round programme of resources, courses and workshops for aspiring and emerging writers under the umbrella of NCW Academy".
She said: “NCW has a fantastic track-record of working with successful writers and industry experts to deliver structured learning and support for writers at all levels, enabling them to achieve their creative goals. This includes our comprehensive and ever-expanding library of online articles, videos and podcasts, which are free for anyone to access across the world.
“The ongoing development of the NCW Bursary Programme will also mean that more people will be able to participate in high-quality learning opportunities within a supportive environment, whatever their background. We hope that NCW Academy will have something for everyone, and that writers will keep in touch and share their success stories as they progress on their writing journey.”
Since 2005, NCW has delivered online tutored courses in partnership with University of East Anglia. Also on offer are live courses, mentoring and free writing resources. More can be found here.
