Ebury has appointed Elizabeth Bond from Ingram as publishing director of its newly named Ebury Partnerships division.
Formerly known as Ebury Enterprises, the division publishes books with brands and organisations, across lifestyle, cookery, design, heritage, business and a broad range of non-fiction categories. Its partners have included the National Archives, Slimming World, BrewDog, Fortnum & Mason and the Royal Albert Hall.
Bond's career started in rights at Macmillan where she rose to deputy rights director before moving into non-trade sales as special sales director. She later joined became group custom publishing director across Orion an d Little, Brown and most recently at Ingram Publisher Services as sales and marketing director.
She succeeds Carey Smith, who left this summer after 18 years with Ebury to travel and take on consultancy work.
Ebury m.d. Joel Rickett said: “Elizabeth was the standout choice to build on Carey Smith’s strong legacy—she brings a rare blend of sales, brand and publishing experience. She is bursting with ideas and contacts and she is perfectly placed to drive growth in partnerships, as well as help shape our wider strategy.”
Meanwhile Camilla Ackley, who joined Ebury in December 2019 from Octopus as assistant editor, has been promoted to editor of Ebury Partnerships.
