Charlie Mackesy designs 2020 BAMB bag

Author and illustrator Charlie Mackesy is this year’s collaborator on the Books Are My Bag limited edition bag, which will be available exclusively in bookshops across the UK and Ireland from Bookshop Day (Saturday 3rd October 2020).

His design (pictured) will feature characters from his bestselling hit The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse.

Mackesy said: “It was such a privilege to do the drawing for this year’s Books Are My Bag Limited-Edition Bag in celebration of Bookshop Day. In the challenging times we are living, it has never seemed more important to build a sense of community—and bookshops play a vital role in this. They are truly special places; they help people to connect with stories, with themselves, and each other.”
