Evaristo, Child and McEwan join bill for UEA Live

Bernardine Evaristo, Lee Child and Ian McEwan will head the bill for the digital UEA Live festival, marking 50 years of the University of East Anglia's renowned creative writing course.

All this year's events, which run from 7th October to 18th November, will be available to watch for free online.

Among the highlights, Evaristo will discuss her career, works and Booker-winning novel Girl, Woman, Other (Hamish Hamilton) on the festival's final day. Child will be joined on 7th October by his biographer Heather Martin for a special discussion based around her authorised biography, The Reacher Guy (Constable). Inaugural UEA creative writing MA graduate McEwan returns to his alma mater on 28th October to share his experiences as an award-winning, world-renowned writer.

Elsewhere, there are appearances from Diana Evans, Joe Dunthorne, Raymond Antrobus, Louise Doughty and Lorna Sage. Trinidad and Tobago’s Bocas Literary Festival will also unite Caribbean writers Ayanna Gillian Lloyd, Tessa McWatt and Ingrid Persaud for a conversation about their varied works.
