Quercus is publishing Five Go Absolutely Nowhere, the latest title in its Enid Blyton for Grown-Ups series, inviting readers to join George, Dick, Anne, Julian and Timmy the Dog as they go into lockdown.
Quercus has licensed rights from Enid Blyton Entertainment to publish the spoof, in which several key questions will be explored as the series favourites go into lockdown on Kirrin Island—such as: "Can they get their laptops to work and forage enough to survive? And who's hijacked Dorset's entire supply of lavatory paper?"
"The new adventure, written by Bruno Vincent, provides a welcome tonic in these troubled times," promises Quercus.
It will be published in e-book on 21st May and in hardback on 11th June 2020, priced £8.99.
The Five Go series has sold almost 2 million copies across all formats, according to the publisher, with its bestseller 2016's Five on Brexit Island.
