Sarah Walden's Noodle Fuel has partnered with Little Tiger Group in a deal to create children’s non-fiction, activity and board books on an exclusive basis, just six weeks after launching.
Walden, former chief operating officer of The Book People, launched the new creative consultancy and book packager in April despite the challenges of Covid-19.
“I am delighted to be working with Little Tiger again,” Walden said. “Having partnered with them on the Book People’s Bedtime Story Competition, I gained an insight into their creative operation and how their business ran. Throughout my buying career, I have always admired the innovation, strength, and commerciality of their publishing.
"With their recent acquisition by Penguin Random House US, Little Tiger is growing fast and looking for new content so a partnership with Noodle Fuel really helps them to accelerate that process."
She added: “One of the key things that I love about the Little Tiger Group is the sense of being part of a family. It’s fantastic to be able to consider that Noodle Fuel has become part of that family.”
Monty Bhatia, Little Tiger’s c.e.o., said: "In her time with the Book People, Sarah was a big supporter and champion of Little Tiger. She has a deep understanding of our strengths as a publisher and has helped connect our books with millions of readers. When Sarah came to us with her plans to launch Noodle Fuel, we could see that the books she was planning to create would do something new for us, but equally be very much at home on the Little Tiger list.
"With the recent upsurge in demand for non-fiction and activity-based books, I’m excited about the potential for growth in this area for Little Tiger, powered by this partnership with Noodle Fuel.”
