Alexei Sayle to narrate upcoming book from Felton

Comedian Alexei Sayle has been chosen to narrate political commentator James Felton's new book, Sunburn, with Little, Brown. 

The book, out 8th October, tracks the Sun newspaper’s evolution since it became a tabloid in 1969 in a bid to answer the question: "Does media reflect–or manipulate–who we are?"

Emily Barrett, editorial director for Sphere, Little, Brown explained their choice of Sayle, born in Liverpool, for the voice of the audio edition: "Only a Liverpudlian could read this audiobook and Alexei Sayle, given his brilliant comedic credentials, was the perfect choice. We’ve enjoyed great success with the audio version of 52 Times Britain was a Bellend–showing that humour books have a deserved space in the audiobook arena–and so I can’t wait to publish the audio edition of Sunburn and see how it thrives."

Sayle is an actor, author and comedian, who most recently starred in "How to Build a Girl" and also has credits which include the Emmy award-winning TV show "Stuff" and "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade".

Felton’s first book, 52 Times Britain was a Bellend, was published in October last year and sold over 30,000 copies in hardback. He said: "As a massive lefty political comedian who took the comedy scene by storm right when the Sun was at its worst, Alexei Sayle is the perfect choice to read Sunburn. He has also been a comedy hero of mine since I was a small child. I always dreamed I’d one day enrage him by forcing him into a small booth to read my frankly unreasonably long sentences. It is with great excitement that I wholeheartedly apologise to Alexei."
