Trapeze is publishing The Correct Order of Biscuits (And Other Meticulously Assembled Lists of Extremely Valuable Nonsense) by Adam Sharp.
Out this September, the book is a collection of "fascinating, hilarious and brilliantly odd" lists curated over many years by Sharp, who has been credited by "QI" co-creator John Mitchinson as “the poet laureate of lists”.
"Packed full of an eclectic range of facts, from what a platypus is called in Mandarin, to which country has the most heavy metal bands per capita, everything under the sun is here. In order," the book's synopsis promises.
Jamie Coleman, publishing director for non-fiction, acquired UK and Commonwealth Rights from Jo Unwin at JULA Ltd, commenting: “I like books that: 1) make me laugh, 2) equip me with things that make me seem cleverer than I am and 3) solve that eternal Christmas present dilemma. Adam’s brilliantly funny and dazzlingly erudite collection of lists is a dream come true.”
Sharp said: “It would be rude not to use the list format to express my feelings on getting to do The Correct Order of Biscuits with Trapeze. So here is a comprehensive list of all the things I’m more proud of than this book we’ve made together: 5. 4. 3. 2. 1."
The book will be published in hardback on 17th September 2020.
