Thames & Hudson has appointed Niamh Murray as marketing and communities director, effective from June 2024.
Murray has most recently worked on projects including The British Book Awards as a freelance publishing consultant. She also spent 16 years at Profile Books, where she was campaigns director.
At Profile Books, Murray was responsible for all aspects of campaigns activity across marketing, publicity, art and digital. She was marketing director for nine years prior to this, specialising in non-fiction campaigns.
T&H chief executive Sophy Thompson said of the appointment: “We are excited to have Niamh joining us. Her in-depth understanding of the digital marketing landscape and its audiences combined with a sharp eye for all things visual make her ideal for the role at T&H.”
Murray added: “T&H are quite simply the best at what they do – independent of spirit, creative in their approach to the business and the books, energetic and forward-thinking, and driven by quality. I am so delighted to join them. I look forward to working with their excellent team and stellar list of authors.”
