Nicki Crossley has been promoted to editorial director at Michael O’Mara Books, while James Hodgkinson, formerly senior editor at Bonnier Books, has joined the company as senior commissioning editor.
Previously senior commissioning editor at Michael O’Mara, Crossley has brought several high-profile titles to the company over the past six years, as well as health and wellbeing titles, and puzzles and pop culture books. Commenting on her promotion, she said: "Michael O’Mara Books are the very best of independent publishing – energetic, creative and collaborative. I’m very proud to be a part of the team and look forward to building the list further."
Meanwhile, Hodgkinson has previously published non-fiction across sport, music, true crime, popular history, gift and memoir. "I’m delighted to be joining Michael O’Mara Books," he commented. "I’ve long admired their entrepreneurial spirit and creative, canny publishing, which seems to effortlessly span genre and topic. I’m thrilled to have the chance to continue commissioning a wide variety of commercial non-fiction with the terrific team here."
