Barrington Stoke has appointed Nina Douglas to the role of associate publicity director.
Douglas, formerly senior publicity manager at Hachette Children’s Group, takes on the newly created role with immediate effect.
She said: "I have long been in awe of the fantastic list of authors and illustrators that are attracted to the work that the Barrington Stoke team do. Quality storytelling, illustration and a strong sense of identity are all hallmarks of the list and I very much look forward to working with the team and helping to deliver books into the hands of readers of all abilities."
She will report into m.d. Mairi Kidd, who said: “We are delighted to welcome Nina to Barrington Stoke. She has a wealth of experience and a great enthusiasm for delivering inspired and inspiring campaigns to get readers excited about books. We are sure she will be a major asset to us as we continue our aim of reaching more readers with our core list and in helping us launch exciting new developments."
Barrington Stoke specialises in books that are accessible to all children, including those with dyslexia or visual stress. It publishes authors including Malorie Blackman, Philip Ardagh, Anthony McGowan and Caroline Lawrence.
