Deborah Moggach’s The Carer (Tinder Press) been optioned by Noho Films & TV with the Soho-based production company to work with the author on developing a TV series.
The deal was struck by Robert Wulff-Cochrane and Camilla Campbell, Noho's joint-m.d.s, and Rochelle Stevens at Rochelle Stevens & Co.
Noho was founded by former Channel 4 drama department heads Wulff-Cochrane and Campbell in 2012. It is the production company behind the BBC series " The Windsors" and it produced "Prime Suspect: 1973" for ITV.
Noho said:"Deborah’s timely novel masterfully explores the most universal of issues—the responsibility for the care of our elders—with her unique mix of compassion, wit and mischief and we are thrilled to be working with her on the television adaptation."
Moggach's 19 novels have shifted just over £3.7m through Nielsen BookScan with her two top sellers, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (originally published as These Foolish Things) and Tulip Fever adapted into films.
