Nosy Crow has acquired eight more titles in the Unicorn Academy series by Julie Sykes and Linda Chapman.
Kirsty Stansfield, head of fiction, bought world rights in all languages from Philippa Milnes-Smith at The Soho Agency and Polly Nolan at Greenhouse Literary Agency.
Stansfield said “Who wouldn’t want to go to Unicorn Academy? Meet your unicorn best friend and have amazing adventures together, solving mysteries and righting wrongs, and all the time looking after Unicorn Island and preserving its magical balance for future generations. Julie and Linda have created a rainbow-coloured world full of friendship, fun and just the right amount of peril… This series has been a runaway success for us, capturing children’s imaginations across the world.”
The Unicorn Academy series to date has sold a total of 40,617 copies for £187,709, through TCM. The series has been sold in 13 languages and the new deal brings the number of titles to collect up to 20 by the end of 2021.
