Oneworld will be moving from Grantham Book Services (GBS) to Macmillan Distribution (MDL) from 1st April 2024, ahead of the planned closure of GBS in 2025.
The publisher has said that all orders should continue to be sent to GBS up to and including Friday 29th of March 2024. From Monday 1st of April, all orders for books published by Oneworld Publications and its associated imprints – Rock the Boat, Point Blank, Magpie Books and Oneworld Academic – should be sent to MDL.
Authorised returns of orders placed prior to the last invoicing date at GBS on the 29th March 2024, which require processing by Friday 28th June 2024, should be returned and received by GBS no later than Friday 14th June 2024. According to the publisher, no returns will be processed at GBS beyond this date.
Returns requests from 1st May onwards should be requested from MDL and stock returned to Macmillan Distribution. Moreover, customers should make payments for accounts due to the originating distributor.
Matthew Hogg, commercial director for Macmillan Distribution, said: “We are excited to be working with the Oneworld team and are delighted that they have chosen to join us. While continuing to acknowledge the circumstances under which these conversations started, it has been a welcome opportunity to demonstrate how our services and systems can meet the future needs of Oneworld and we look forward to being a part of their continued success.”
Novin Doostdar, publisher at Oneworld, added: “Macmillan Distribution has given us every indication that we will have a smooth transition and a successful future working together. We would also like to thank the team at TBS/GBS for their excellent service over the years and we wish them all the best for the future.”
