Simon & Schuster UK has made several promotions across its adult marketing and publicity teams, with Polly Osborn promoted to publishing strategy and communications director. S&S said the promotions were part of its "ongoing growth strategy".
Sabah Khan has been promoted to publicity director and Hayley McMullan to director of marketing and insight.
In her new role, Osborn retains responsibility for the adult marketing and publicity teams and will continue to work on key campaigns. A significant part of her new brief will be to support future strategies, in close consultation with her publishing colleagues, according to the publisher.
Chief executive Ian Chapman commented: “From her brilliance of planning and executing the very best of book and author campaigns, to leading her fabulous team, Polly is an invaluable member of our executive board.
"I have no doubt that she will continue to contribute significantly to our substantial recent growth, focusing, as we always do, on supporting our extraordinary list of authors.”
Osborn said: “Hayley and Sabah have played a crucial role in the commercial success of our adult list over the last few years. Both are brilliant managers of their respective teams and individually exceptional in their campaign work. I’m delighted that we are able to recognise their contribution and, with these promotions, give them more scope to influence the future of Simon & Schuster UK.”
