Gyamfia Osei is joining Andrew Nurnberg Associates (ANA) from The Good Literary Agency (TGLA), where she has been since 2021.
Over the past two years, Osei has focused on bringing marginalised authors to the forefront of mainstream publishing. Recent successes include the shortlisting of Ebinehita Iyere’s Girlhood, Unfiltered (Knights Of, 2022) at the 2023 British Book Awards, and a five-way auction for Quiet Storm by Kimberly Whittam (Usborne, 2023).
At ANA she will focus on developing the agency’s list of children’s authors, including the representation of ANA’s international children’s authors into the English language, while also representing a bespoke list of commercial fiction and narrative non-fiction.
Jenny Savill, m.d. of ANA London, said: “Gyamfia is a publishing star in the making. She has already demonstrated a keen eye for talent, and we are all looking forward immensely to welcoming her and her authors to ANA London.”
Osei added: "It feels like such an exciting time to be joining ANA London, a team that I have long admired for their author-led approach and foreign rights expertise. I’m really looking forward to this next chapter for me and my wonderful authors!”
Julia Kingsford, co-founder for TGLA also commented: “From the moment Gyamfia joined us we could see her incredible potential and knew it was only a matter of time before others saw it too. We’re proud of the work we did in developing and supporting her in becoming a literary agent and while we’re sad to see her and her authors go we couldn’t be more excited to see their journey continue at such a fantastic agency as ANA and will always be cheering them on from the sidelines.”
Osei will join ANA London as literary agent on 18th July.
