The Good Literary Agency (TGLA) has promoted Gyamfia Osei to junior literary agent to build a commercial and upmarket fiction list alongside one for non-fiction authors.
Osei joined TGLA in November 2020 as agency assistant. She has previously worked as a literary assistant at Caskie Mushens and managed international sales at the Pepin Press in Amsterdam.
Julia Kingsford, co-founder of TGLA, said: "From our first meeting with Gyamfia we knew she was going to be a great agent. In her time with us she has consistently demonstrated her fantastic taste, clear editorial instinct and wonderful client care and we're delighted to see her step up and to support her in this next stage in her development."
Osei added: "I am delighted to be stepping into this new role at TGLA. Over the last 10 months I have had the pleasure of working with a fantastic team and a wonderful group of authors with unique and authentic voices. I am very excited to continue building my own list at the agency and advocating for brilliant writers from underrepresented communities."
TGLA has also promoted Callen Martin from submissions co-ordinator to agency assistant and hired Briony Cameron as submissions co-ordinator.
