OUP has bought a new picture book by Mike Brownlow, author of Orchard Books’ Ten Little... series.
Senior commissioning editor Pete Marley bought world rights to Meet the Penguins, about two birds who "arrive at a strange place where no one wants to be friends", from Caroline Walsh at David Higham Associates. The book, which will be written and illustrated by Brownlow, will be published by OUP in April 2019.
OUP has also sold Harriet Muncaster’s Isadora Moon series into three languages—Polish, Greek and Hebrew—taking the series centred on a half-fairy, half vampire, to a total of 26 languages to date.
