Bella Pagan has been promoted to publisher at Pan Macmillan’s Tor imprint, as part of a series of promotions at the company.
The publisher, now being run by new c.e.o. Joanna Prior, said the promotions were in “three areas targeted for future expansion”: Tor, Mantle and Macmillan Non-Fiction.
Pagan, currently publishing director, will report to Lucy Hale, Pan publisher. Meanwhile, Georgia Summer is promoted to editor in the Tor UK team, reporting to Pagan. Pan Macmillan said the move would set up “a focused editorial unit to accelerate growth”.
In Mantle, Alice Gray is promoted to editor, reporting to publisher Maria Rejt.
Finally, Matthew Cole has been promoted to senior commissioning editor in the Macmillan Non-fiction editorial team, reporting to Mike Harpley. He will be focusing on sport, business, popular science and politics.
Earlier this month, it was revealed Mantle associate publisher Sam Humphreys had left the company after eight years following a restructure.
