The Palazzo and Ad Lib group has appointed Duncan Proudfoot to editorial director on the Ad Lib list, where he will work on commercial non-fiction. He will also create and launch a new imprint of his own under the Palazzo umbrella.
Proudfoot will join the publisher at the beginning of November. Rob Nichols continues as publisher of the core Palazzo illustrated list.
For the last eight years Proudfoot has been publishing director of Robinson, an imprint of the Little, Brown Book Group. Prior to that, for five years, he was first editorial director then publishing director of Robinson as part of Constable & Robinson, successfully establishing and growing the non-fiction imprint.
Proudfoot said: "I am delighted to be joining the Palazzo/Ad Lib group where I will be working once again with former colleagues and friends. I look forward to the opportunity both to help grow an existing venture and to launch a new one of my own."
