Penguin Business will publish The Business Survival Kit by husband and wife duo Byron Cole and Bianca Miller-Cole.
Publisher Martina O’Sullivan acquired world rights directly from the authors, with publication scheduled for September 2021.
The Business Survival Kit will prepare readers for starting a business. The authors, described as "serial entrepreneurs," aim to teach readers how to navigate the emotional ups and downs of the process. The guide will look at how to cope with stress, how to stay motivated and how to maintain and navigate personal relationships.
O’Sullivan said: “There’s lot of great advice out there for entrepreneurs but so much of it focuses on the practicalities rather than the human vulnerabilities inherent in starting out on your own. Bianca and Byron are incredibly successful business people who know from experience the mental toughness and resilience required to keep going even when it seems like all the odds are against you. And that they’ve gone through that journey so many times whilst maintaining such a strong romantic partnership too—that’s something we all can learn from.”
Miller-Cole commented: "We are excited to be working with Martina and the fantastic team at Penguin on this new book, as a business mentor and entrepreneur I have seen and personally experienced the roller coaster of being in business. There are the inevitable ups and downs that come with taking your destiny into your own hands."
Cole said: "Together with my co-author and amazing wife, we have so many experiences, stories and solutions to share for likeminded people to adopt and implement into their daily lives. We recognise the many difficulties that entrepreneurs face and we cannot wait to share insights and practices to not only make their journey smoother and less painful but to prepare them for what is ahead."
The couple previously published Self-Made: The Definitive Guide to Business Startup Success (John Murray, 2017).
