Phaidon Press reports 21% increase in turnover

Phaidon Press has reported a turnover of £33.7m in the year ending 30th June 2022, up 21% from the previous year’s £27.8m, according to accounts filed at Companies House.

Operating profit came in at £2.1m, marking an improvement from 2021, which saw an operating profit of £0.5m for the company. 

In the accounts it is outlined that the increase in operating profit was due to an increase in revenue of £5.9m, while maintaining a gross profit margin of 48%. 

However the loss before tax was £31,000, compared to last year’s £341,000 profit.
