Philippa Sitters has left David Godwin Associates after a decade to launch her own agency.
Philippa Sitters Associates Ltd (PSA), based in south London, will represent fiction and non-fiction titles across the literary-commercial spectrum.
Sitters told The Bookseller: “It’s a privilege to be able to set up PSA, and it’s been so much fun, plus incredibly heartening to have had so much support from within the industry.”
She plans to cover a wide range of non-fiction and all genres of fiction apart from sci-fi and fantasy, saying that diversity “is a priority” within her list.
“Championing the authors I represent full time is a dream and I want to make the most of their work globally while welcoming new clients from a multitude of different backgrounds.”

PSA represents Ashley Hickson-Lovence, Margarita Montimore, Davina Quinlivan and Jamie Lafferty among others. PSA is currently on submission with titles from broadcaster Scott Byran, historian of science Dr Ross Brooks and debut novelist, Nat Temple.
Andrew Nurnberg Associates will manage PSA’s translation rights, and a handful of film and TV rights non-exclusively.
Prior to starting work at David Godwin Associates in 2014, Sitters was at Sheil Land Associates.
