The annual Picador Showcase was held in the Reading Room at the Wellcome Collection last night. The evening saw the following speakers talk about their work, all compered by fellow Picador author Cathy Rentzenbrink who spoke about the power of books and her forthcoming biblio-memoir Dear Reader. The Reading Agency has been very busy, with the launch of their Quick Reads titles, they had a launch at Liverpool Central Library, and then an industry-launch in Waterstones Piccadilly with help from Jojo Moyes who delivered a rousing spech about the importance of adult literacy in the UK!
