On Thursday 6th September, Dame Kelly Holmes right joined the Book Fairies in dropping 200 copies of Philip Pullman’s La Belle Sauvage (PRH/David Fickling Books) in public places all around the UK to celebrate its paperback publication.

Jeanette Winterson was among the authors taking part in this year’s Bradford Literature Festival, which saw visitor attendance increase by more than 40%, drawing in over 70,000 visitors between June 30th and July 9th.
